The Garden City Shopping Complex and the NAKUMATT Supermarket complexes are the busiest business centers in the whole of Kampala City both situated at the roundabout.
Nile Avenue joins Yusuf Lule Road at the Garden City Roundabout and the prominent, important and heavily trafficked road called Kampala - Jinja Road, both accommodate the most important and busiest government and private sector business, recreational infrastructure facilities and buildings, like first class Five Star Hotels, Restaurants, Government and Non-Government Organization offices and first class Hospitals/Clinics not to mention UBC Radio, and Television stations, a Media Centre, the Serena Group of Hotels, the Parliament Buildings, MTN Communication Centre, Embassy Office and Residences, Centenary Park, Crested Towers, housing of several prominent Consulting Firms, Banks, a Casino, and finally a very large Golf-course of international standards.
On the average, both Yusuf Lule Road and Nile Avenue respectively carry about 40% of the Kampala City's monthly traffic of about 1.600,000 motorists and pedestrians.
